Dear Friends,
As you know, we are anxiously waiting the big Hurricane Ike to make its final landfall towards Galveston/Houston on Saturday. I am in Taiwan, so Irene has to do all preparations herself. We will stop processing/sending all orders until … as soon as we can. Hopeful everybody will be safe through the Hurricane, and we will be spared the water shortage and blackout problems.
So, tighten your seatbelt, and be safe!
Guang from Taipei
Update after Ike:
Comparing to what many others in Galveston/Houston are experiencing, the damages to our family are pretty minor. The fence was blown apart, several major tree branches were downed (hope the roof was safe). Friends and neighbors had come to help Irene move the debris and partly bring up the fence. Electricity is ok, water is near normal.
Our hearts go to those who have suffered from Ike or may still waiting for rescue.
Update from Irene:
Dear All, Thank you all for all your warm supports and good wishes for us. It was indeed very stressful to face Ike alone here without Guang. But you made it easier for me to pass through it.

Thanks,
Irene
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May you all stay out of harm’s way. Eileen
Stay safe and dry, Irene.
Hope everybody is gonna be O.K. For Gods sake, grab the tea and run Irene.
Hope u all r safe-
Hi Irene,
Take good care of yourself and return when it’s safe.
Best regards,
Chay
Irene,
We have all prayed through the night for you and if you are in need we have friends and family in and around Houston and, like most Texans, would come to your aid in the drop of a 10-gallon hat.
The Laszuk Family
We are thankful that you are unharmed. Our thoughts were with you through the storm.
Thank you for letting us know you are safe! Our thoughts are with you.
Thanks, Guang, for the update. Your family was in my thoughts. Gerry
Fantastic-you’re okay! best wishes-David
I am glad to have read that the damages were limited. I wish to return soon to normal life.

Good to hear all is well, Irene! Now, Guang owes you a BIG something for running to Taiwan during the hurricane. Don’t let him forget that, mwahaha! My wife wouldn’t.
Seriously, though, I’m glad to hear you and daughter are safe.
Phyll
Glad you and yours are safe, Irene. I wish you the best in dealing with the aftermath.

HI Phyll
he he he … you are right on
I was not in Houston for the Hurricane Ike only to found another nasty Typhoon Sinlaku waiting for me in Taiwan! What kind of coincidence! The typhoon had done a lot of damage to the central part of Taiwan, especially the very important tea-producing region, Zhu Shan, Lu Shan, and several regions of Li Shan. Bad bad news. My plan to visit plantations in those region has to be cancelled.
Guang
Sorry to hear, Guang. Hope all is well now and still can get some business done while in Taiwan, despite…
Irene,
A million folks without power! You and your daughter are truly lucky to have come through the storm with no major injuries/damages. Glad to hear you are safe.

Hi, I found your blog on this new directory of WordPress Blogs at blackhatbootcamp.com/listofwordpressblogs. I dont know how your blog came up, must have been a typo, i duno. Anyways, I just clicked it and here I am. Your blog looks good. Have a nice day. James.
Well, now after the hurricane and the typhoon at least Guang can enjoy family visits and is not distracted by tea. I’m glad they passed the hurricane with only minor damages.
Its been pretty crazy hearing about all of these hurricanes and
typhoons as of late, destroying crops and reeking havoc on all of
us in large part due to global warming.
Relieved to hear that you’ve all come out of hurricane Ike
safe and sound. That’s the important thing after all.
Aaron
